Global demand for Tamware doors
As we have delivered our doors abroad, interest in Tamware Oy's door products has grown outside Europe. In recent years we have supplied door solutions to India, where public transport is a significant market due to the huge number of passengers.
Tamware electric doors on city buses in Europe
We also deliver our electric doors overseas to customers that have made new vehicle acquisitions. We have delivered a significant numbers of electric doors to companies in Denmark, Sweden, Germany and Norway.
Electric doors for Helsinki’s metropolitan transport network
The development of our current urban electric door began in 2012. We received a request from a transportation company in the Helsinki region to develop a solution that was better suited to cold conditions than the existing pressure door. This request led to a joint project with a major European bus manufacturer.
MPK Krakow
The Kraków Transport Service renovated its old N8 trams in 2014–16. The external cladding, interior materials and all interior components were renewed. The old folding doors were replaced with modern sliding doors.
Metelitsa
Stadler introduced the Metelitsa series, a completely new product family, at the 2014 Innotrans exhibition. The tram had been unveiled earlier in the year at the Minsk Ice Hockey World Championships.
